The Edsyn Rework Station is equipped to accept Nitrogen, if a research project calls for its use, to provide for an inert environment while reworking the solder.
This system is a fully self contained, bench-top factory. This manual system is capable of universal SMT component installation and removal, self-contained solder paste and epoxy dispensing, surface mount land preparation, and component handling in addition to many other manufacturing and rework capabilities for both through hole and surface mount technologies. This Hot Nitrogen Station has the thermal management system that is key to the control of safe, rapid installation and removal of virtually all surface-mount and through-hole components.
This is a highly capable manufacturing and rework bench top factory that incorporates both conductive (Solder/tip) and convection (hot air) techniques. Trained operators can do high reliability soldering and very precise rework and removal without damage to the component, using this system as a tool.
