At SMI we have the capability for testing to customer specification, qualifying and evaluating parts using thermal cycling, and working with your custom made test fixture. Our Tektronix oscilloscopes are the first to measure impedances in differential systems. Utilizing a digital voltmeter we perform bench and system applications and measurement. We are able to build the customer a simple test fixture or use a customer- supplied sample. Soldermax knows that our customers require the most complete, accurate documentation, with complete tracability. Using the DAQ Data Acquisition software system, SMI is able to create custom reports and set up formal oven profile reports, when performing thermal evaluations or qualifying oven cycles. In compliance with our quality management system, we also use and record a bar code serial number on each completed unit. This ensures absolute tracability of assemblies completed at SMI.
Our inspection area is fully equipped with Leica illuminated microscopes and Javelin Video Guage System. This is a go/no-go video comparator system with monitor, for use in substrate alignment and testing for deviations in welds, bare boards, wafers & IC’s. Using single & double cross hair positions and the Dyotar lenses from Navitar, we are able to provide superior performance with this cameras optical resolution.
